লম্বায় প্রায় ১৫ কিলোমিটার; ৩০০-৩৫০ ফিট চওড়া এবং ২০ কিলোমিটার ঝাউবনযুক্ত এই সৈকতটি অত্যন্ত নয়নাভিরাম প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যের অধিকারী। এই অনিন্দ্যসুন্দর সমুদ্র সৈকতকে ঘিরেও প্রচলন আছে ভৌতিক কাহিনীর। প্রথমত, সেখানে কিছু এলাকায় অদ্ভুদ পদশব্দ, চিৎকার ও ভুতুড়ে আওয়াজ শুনতে পাওয়া যায়। অনেক পর্যটক ও স্থানীয় ব্যক্তি কৌতূহলবশত অনুসরণ করে এসব শব্দের উৎস খুঁজে বের করবার চেষ্টা করলেও প্রকৃতপক্ষে কোনো উৎসই খুঁজে পাওয়া যায়নি। অনেক সময় মনে হয় শব্দগুলো পানির ভেতর থেকে আসছে। আবার কখনো সেটি পার্শ্ববর্তী বন থেকে আসছে বলে মনে হয়। শব্দগুলো যেনো কৌতূহলী মানুষকে পানিতে টেনে নিয়ে যেতে চায়।

সেখানে পর্যটক হিসেবে আগত এক দম্পতির মতে, বিচে সূর্যাস্তের পর সান্ধ্যকালীন ভ্রমণের সময় তাদের দুজনেরই মনে হচ্ছিল কোনো অশরীরী তাদের ওপর চোখ রাখছে। তাদের এই অনুভূতি তাদের থাকার স্থানে ফেরার আগ পর্যন্ত হয়েছে।

এছাড়াও গভীর সাগরে নৌকাসহ এক বুড়ো নাবিকের দেখা মেলে। কখনো একজনের আবার কখনো বা অনেককে তাদের নৌকা নিয়ে গভীর সাগরে যেতে দেখা যায়। কিন্তু প্রকৃতপক্ষে এরা কেউই মানুষ না। ধারণা করা হয় সাইক্লোনের সময় নৌকা পাড়ে ভেড়াতে ব্যর্থ হওয়া যে সব নাবিক মৃত্যুমুখে পতিত হয়, তাদেরই আত্মা এখনো নৌকোসমেত মাঝ সাগরে পাড়ি জমায়। যদিও এ সকল ঘটনার কোনো বৈজ্ঞানিক ভিত্তি নেই, তবুও অনেক পর্যটক ও স্থানীয় মানুষের দাবী তারা এগুলো চাক্ষুষ প্রত্যক্ষ করেছেন।

Parki Beach, Chittagong is one of the haunted places in Bangladesh.

This beach, about 15 kilometers long; 300-350 feet wide and 20 kilometers of dense forest, has a very beautiful natural beauty. There are also ghost stories surrounding this beautiful sea beach. First of all, strange footsteps, screams and ghostly sounds can be heard in some areas. Many tourists and locals follow them out of curiosity and try to find the source of these sounds, but in reality no source has been found. Sometimes the sounds seem to be coming from the water. Sometimes it seems to be coming from the surrounding forest. The sounds seem to want to drag curious people into the water.

According to a couple who came there as tourists, during an evening walk on the beach after sunset, both of them felt like an unearthly being was watching them. This feeling lasted until they returned to their accommodation.

Also, an old sailor with a boat is seen in the deep sea. Sometimes one person, sometimes many people are seen going into the deep sea with their boats. But in reality, none of them are human. It is believed that the souls of sailors who failed to pull their boats ashore during cyclones and died, still float in the middle of the sea with their boats. Although there is no scientific basis for these incidents, many tourists and locals claim to have witnessed them.
